Better than the reaction in my house I scared the housemates by shouting "Oh f**k off Max you tosser!" Pulling rank? Really? What's Mickey supposed to do now? Cry cause he's not DS?! I thought he was crying at the end Poor Jasmine I thought she was awesome. OH and Max with his "what's your agenda?" made Mickey's relationship with her seem all wrong. Sod! I'm far too into this LOL!

Yeah. I think Mickey knew full well that Max only nicked Jasmine to prove a point to him, and he hates that he got her caught up in that in the first place. And he has principles, which Max clearly doesn't.
I'd say realistically though, she might not do time if she's no form for dealing. I'd love them to bring her back at a later date.

Yeah true. I hope she does come back, I liked her. Stupid Maxwell.

2 mini bags, that is not an emount to supply! ok, so she lied to them, she also got them on the case, without her they would have had no-body. I hope they get this little spat between Mickey and Max to lead somewhere, could be interesting. come on Jack, you know who's right. I would love to see Jasmine again, Mickey was so good with her, its great to see how people trust him (note no one trusts max, therefore the spat is based on jelousy) perhaps Max will end up twisting something round which will land Jasmine and Mickey in danger, enter Jack to help. I can dream.

Oh Max was being a prat purely because he could. Seriously the way he told Mickey "I don't know what your agenda is..." it really did imply to me that he thought Mickey's interest in Jasmine was far from professional. I think their spat will lead somewhere, I think it's all connected to the clip shown in the spoiler video to do with Mickey and Max undercover. Max won't be half as smug then. I wonder how much time would have to pass before Mickey could be promoted back to DS. I just find it odd that seeing as how he's been in Sun Hill CID longer than most of the others that he was passed over when they promoted Stevie - unless he's not trusted with the responsibility or whatever.

I don't know whether Mickey just didn't want the responsibility again? He was certainly ambitious early in his career, and obviously did well when he left Sun Hill getting to the NCS. Didn't help help Suzie Sim with her Sargeants exams as well?

Yeah I think so. The thing with Mickey I think is he's not very good with authority figures...unless they're Jack. Then being one himself, I dunno, he probably thinks he's not the right person for it after the last time he was DS and failed to spot Liz was leading him along. Purely speculation and amateur psychology of a fictitious character from me though lol!
If I were Jack I'd be dubious of promoting Mickey, mostly for his own good. He probably deserves to be a higher rank but I wouldn't want to put pressure on him.
Then again I wouldn't have picked Stevie because she's basically Mickey's female equivalent (with less angst and more laughing - once upon a time!). I'd have picked Grace.

lol yeah, I wonder how Mickey would cope if Jack retired...
I think you're right about him not trusting his judgement because of Liz. I still think he gets discouraged easily when it's something for himself - he'll fight to get other people what they need and want but when it's something for him he doesn't seem to trust himself to actually go for it.

If Jack retired I could imagine Mickey sitting in his old office crying, rocking back and forth..... In all seriousness he'd probably stick around but it'd be a sharp wake up call for him when breaking the rules resulted in punishment and not threats of punishments that aren't really carried out. (I always wanted Jack to fulfil his threat of sticking Mickey in uniform for a week, just to see what he'd be like in uniform - I really should stop attempted perving) Since Mickey came back in 2005 I struggle to recall Jack getting on at him. He used to have a go at Mickey all the time pre-2003. And Mickey the subordinate little git gave as good as he got

oh they should do another episode like the millenium one where everyone was out in uniform (I loved that one, Jack and I think it was Brownlow wandering round trying to find an off licence so that they could just sit in the patrol car and drink whiskey).
I think Jack worries about being too harsh with Mickey, doesn't want him falling apart again. But he's not so cheeky is our Mickey any more, at least not with Jack, and I do kind of miss that. At least he's back to flirting again sometimes.
Still think he needs a good woman me.
I'd quite like another undercover storyline too - with Stevie maybe, I like them two together.

I've never seen the Millenium one but that sounds hilarious on Jack and Brownlow's part...is it bad I'm not sure who Brownlow is? I'm such a bad Bill fan LOL I'd worry about being too hard on Mickey too, eventhough he's not as fragile as everyone seems to think. I just don't think it'd take much to have him heading for his self destruct button again. I miss Mickey calling Jack 'guv' It sounds wrong when he calls him governor. I too miss the cheekiness, he used to have a really good and cheeky rapport with Jo He needs you I agree Oh undercoverness! I want! Slightly OT but Mickey's been in about four consecutive eps taking into account the one showing on the 1st April - I fear he could be heading for the cupboard soon

I think Brownlow had to quit when the whole Beech corruption thing came out?

Ahh I vaguely remember Mickey talking to him at the memorial for everyone after the first fire but that's about it. I need to see more eps from 2000.

I think this whole thing with Max could encourage him to try for DS again, just to show Max that he can and when he does I think he'll be alright, get a big case under him. Jack will realise that he's OK, oh and a girlfriend ofcause to boost his confidence.

Lol! I dunno if I want to see Mickey as DS but if it means more storylines then sure Slightly back on track with Thursday's ep but did anyone else notice Chris' fleeting discomfort at being on the balcony? I went to my housemate " Chris Simmons is afraid of heights" and she replied "Uh yeah you can tell!" Poor baby, I'm scared too! I wouldn't have peered over the edge though, that's just enticing the fear!
