The scene where he gets shoved into the wall is one of my absolute favourite re: Mickey/Jack tension, followed very closely by Jack shoving Mickey into his office after he makes an insensitive remark about Chandler's suicide. The one where he gets slammed against the wall is awesome, mainly due to Mickey's smirk of checkmate. He's an infuriating sod but I love him for it The scene where Jack had a pop at Mickey about father figures was low. Great, but laced with spite. I have no idea how Mickey managed to hold onto his job to be honest. Punching Supers, being insubordinate....I guess his heart is usually in the right place, he just doesn't think!

The scene where Jack had a pop at Mickey about father figures was low. Great, but laced with spite. It was a low blow but a really powerful scene, great for the angst, lol. My main problem with it is the whopping continuity error of Mickey not having a father after all the times he talked about being smacked around by him! But then he also told Kate he was an only child and then apparently had a brother at his mum's funeral, so his backstory is all over the place. Today I watched the ep where Mickey returned for Rachel's trial and remembered why I hated it the first time. After the nice scene Jack/Mickey had where Jack agreed to end it with Rachel in 155, seeing Mickey back to being a git about Rachel and Jack back to ignoring him was sad and there was no real warmth between them. And they never really regained their former closeness.

Yeah it was an awesome scene. Ahh the continuity errors run rampant with Mickey's backstory...that or DC Webb really is a pathological liar. I bet he's not even really a police officer Sometimes I wonder if Jack just didn't really know Mickey at all and that's why he said that because if memory serves me correctly Mickey doesn't confirm or deny Jack's "You never knew your father did you Mickey?" he just says something like "Ey? What's that got to do with anything?" as if he's too bewildered by the curve ball in topic of conversation to respond properly. Ahh I can never remember - is that the episode where Mickey gives that lovely speech to Eva about Jack being there for him during the rape? I love that speech. Also Mickey was damn creepy with his dragging Rachel into empty rooms and his "You WILL do this" attitude. I think the closeness came back eventually They had to get through 301-303 first. FFS Jack thinking Mickey was corrupt wasn't smart It does make me sad how once Mickey came back to Sun Hill they made a point of distancing themselves...yet Mickey apparently has no problem going to Jack's for cake and poker every so often.

Me too! Especially when he tells Cass he's a young man and saves his energy for other things. By the way in what episode do Mickey and Jack have cake and poker?

LOL! Ah that's "Jack of hearts" I think. I always find it hilarious how at the poker game there's all these guys Jack's age who've known Jack for years and then....Mickey. I sometimes think Mickey goes to Jack's for the food
