Lol! I remember going to Germany on a school trip and getting told off by a German lady who served our food because I said Danke and apparently that only means thank you if you're speaking to your friends. I was like ok so what am I supposed to say and she told me Danke Schone. Sorry I felt the need to slip that boring little antecdote in there

Late to the party but: Protect and Survive - great introduction to Mickey. He is unbelievably cocky lol. Love the wink he gives June in their first scene together. Brittaniamania - as well as being a great set of episodes generally it also sets up so much of Mickey's character, his hatred not just of Chandler but also of corrupt coppers in general, as the mole gets Mickey's mate killed. And there are early signs of the Jack/Mickey friendship with Jack's general defending of Mickey and his smug "I knew it wasn't Mickey" when the mole is exposed. I also love the line "So Mickey Malone the builder turns out to be Mickey Mouse the copper". LOL. The episodes where Kate dies and Mickey and Jack first form their alliance against Chandler. When Mickey and Robbie are held hostage by Ron Gregory and Jack is all concerned and trying to hide how much he cares. I like how, in the final scene with Jack, Mickey starts off saying "Great result eh?" with a little smile like he's hoping Jack will just congratulate him. Oh Mickey. Of course the rape episodes. Some great acting there especially the graveyard scene. The live episode where Mickey comes barging in as Sam is interviewing a suspect, and switches off the tape yelling "Interview suspended". MIT Mickey. 15? - one of the episodes before the rape where Mickey ends up at Rachel Heath's house to pay her off. Despicable actions from Mickey, one of those that shows his darker side, but great in showing the other dynamic of Mickey and Jack's relationship, love the way Jack has Mickey on the floor screaming at him, arresting him and Mickey's whole half sarcastic reply of something like " Ohh gonna have me up on a GBH charge with the prostitute" as he's shoved against the wall face first. I still hate that scene lol. I could see Mickey attempting to pay Rachel off but resorting to threats of violence seemed out of character to me. To be fair even Jack didn't seem to take it seriously with his sarcastic "Try not to be too aggressive with any of the suspects" next time he saw him. Still don't like it though.

Ah I love all those episodes too! I love how Mickey's only interested in collars (sp?) when he first arrives and not making friends. I still hate that scene lol. To be fair even Jack didn't seem to take it seriously with his sarcastic "Try not to be too aggressive with any of the suspects" next time he saw him. Still don't like it though. I don't know, he's always been particularly short tempered and grabby I've thought. He won't hesitate to grab someone if they mess him around, he did it with Fern as well when she tried to lie to him. I wouldn't say he threatened it either he just went ahead and did it Though to be fair didn't that episode happen just after his mum died? He could have acted out of character due to being grief-stricken? IIRC he played stalker around about that time, sitting on Rachel's windowsill whilst phoning Jack to ask where he was whilst watching them! That was rather creepy......

I don't remember that, must have blocked it out. True he could have been acting out of grief. I still find it hard to watch, though.

Oh yeah it is rather hard to watch, I still can't work out what Jack screams at him when he has Mickey by the throat. I think it's meant to be "What the hell do you think you were doing?" but it comes out more as " WhaRAAAAAAAAAAAAWR!" Onto a nicer episode "The Deadly game" is awesome. I particularly love Mickey and Terry's conversation in the club about going to get Charlie the sniffer dog because he "has a nose for cocaine" and "Loves celebrities!" I also love Terry's "So what do you think?" and Mickey's reply of "What do I think? Probably the most annoying bird I've ever met in my entire life....but I still wouldn't step over her to get to you Terrance!"

Scenes where the character does something creepy like that, or when Jack and Mickey fight always make me cringe. Watching them now I can't believe what they used to be like. I mean Mickey's character has grown up but his friendship with Jack has changed too, when was the last time anyone actually shoved the other in the bill? Has the style changed their ways and relationships?

I'm sick and liked the fighting and shoving...just because of the angst factor It is interesting to see how the Mickey-Jack dynamic played out over the years though, especially when you consider that Jack basically used Mickey at first.

That's true. I would loike to see that come up again before the show ends. A brief recognition Jack's part at least. I think it's fair to say that the majority of favorite episodes are based around Mickey and Jack. WHERE ON EARTH IS THIS TSORYLINE NOW?!

Well they don't really have any corrupt officers to bring down together that being said if we don't get a Mickey-Jack scene before the end I won't be happy

I'm sick and liked the fighting and shoving...just because of the angst factor Oh yes, I do love the angst. Especially the scene where Jack accuses him of wanting a father figure or when Mickey says that Jack wants Chandler out of the way so he can have a crack at Debbie and Jack slams him against the wall! I can't believe Mickey wasn't fired a million times over actually...
