Tim key posted the following on Twitter this morning:

billproducer Fantastic press event. They were impressed with footage and cast were on top form. I seem to have a sore head. I blame chris simmons...

Hope we get to hear more about the press event soon....and the reasoning behind the headache lol! I did reply on twitter but doubt Tim will reply.

So on Twitter I asked Tim Key about Mickey and his relationship with his dad and Tim's very kindly replied with:

That is very sweet, and kind of makes sense to me. I'm still trying to put together exactly what my theory is re Mickey and his family, but that's certainly food for thought.

I'm not sure I like the idea of him building bridges - don't think his Dad is worth building bridges with - but using his Dad to play his Dad was sweet.

Hmm...I'm sure he had a brother at one stage, though

He did! I know he did lol! I can remember watching it on youtube where Mickey was in Jack's office and said he'd rather be at Sun Hill than with his "brother and his lot".

Ah well. If they wanna pretend he never existed and that Mickey's just a little liar than fair play to them

I was nosing through Tim's tweets and came across this reply to someone who'd asked about characters and storylines (I assume)

Character absences are sometimes because the actor is unavailable for one reason or another, not because we don't want to use...the character. Plenty of Terry coming up. As for other question, a bit of both. We have serial stories to play for some...characters, and we want to really bed Jo into uniform. But the show has always moved from one character to another...and we've got plenty of story for many of our characters coming up. Jo swings into Max, Stone and Smithy. Max swings into...Neil and Grace and Terry and Mickey, for example.

Sounds like it's going to be good!

Sorry have been off radar for a while. If you loved Chris and Sally on Sports Relief (I did - never seen dancing like it)... then brace.......yourselves for an equally wonderful pairing - Chris and the lovely Lucy Speed. They're great together in some amazing episodes I saw.....yesterday. Transmit at the start of next month and feature some spectacular crowd control.
