Taken from the ITV press pack for the final episode of The Bill.
What has been your favourite storyline?
‘My favourite storyline was a four-part special in which my character, Mickey, had to be an undercover football hooligan, it was fascinating trying to get into the mindset of that world. Perhaps the most challenging was a storyline in which my character was raped.’
What has been your most memorable moment (funny, moving etc..)?
‘One of my most memorable moments was a scene in which I had to run towards a car and I wasn’t meant to go over a certain line (as the car would explode). In my enthusiasm I went over the line, and the car exploded. I fell back landing on my elbows, and boy, did that hurt! But I was happy to be alive.’
What has been your most challenging storyline, scene or stunt?
‘There have been lots of war wounds along the way, as filming can be very physical, that’s all part of it. I’ve been punched in the nose, punched in the face many times, perhaps the worst was when I was head-butted in the eye, my eye instantly ballooned and filming had to stop.’
Which guest artist have you most enjoyed working with?
‘Hugh Quarshie, I was star-struck by him as he’d been in the first Star Wars movie. He was very on the money, a very interesting man and a generous actor.’
What has been the best thing about working on The Bill?
‘Sally Rogers, enough said!’
What would people be surprised to know about you?
‘I am a keen runner, and earlier this year I completed my third London marathon for Leukaemia Research’
