Hi I have just discovered this board!
I've been a fan of Mickey Webb for years. Actually strangely enough I hated him when he was first introduced back in 2000 (was watching TB since the mid 90s). I was very much an 'Old Bill' fan and thought Mickey was cocky and annoying (shame on me). I started to warm up to him during the Kate Spears storylines and during the Chandler stuff he won me over completely. If possible, I fell in love with him all over again during the rape storyline which I wasn't looking forward to but turned out to be brilliantly acted. Then he left. I was so happy when he returned a few years later although I am most partial to old Mickey (2000-2003). I don't really watch current TB anymore (sad it's being axed though) but I have been watching some old episodes on YouTube and have rediscovered my obsession. Good to see so many Mickey fans here.

Welcome to the forum, thanks for joining ;D Ah old Mickey. I remember being shocked to see old Mickey for the first time, I'd only ever seen the rape storyline on youtube and "current" Mickey before watching on Alibi last year. I was horrified to see him so cocky and at times downright mean to people. I fell in love with old Mickey though and love him just as much as current Mickey now My favourite "old" Mickey being during the Chandler years I think.

My favourite character back in 2000 was DS John Bolton and the episode after he was murdered Mickey was making comments that it was his own fault he died because he shouldn't have been on his own. Oooh, I wanted to reach through the screen and punch him. The Brittania episodes were what first made me see him in a new light. Thanks for the welcome.

Ooh hello there! *waves* Old Mickey had fluffy hair - Mickey's fluffy hair = pretty ;D Current Mickey's such a contrast to Old Mickey, who I've never really watched aside from his rape storyline. Chris' performance during those episodes was amazing. Anyways, hope you like it here!

Oh I've never seen those episodes but I can understand that being a reason not to like him! I remember the first episode that really made me question my like for Mickey was "Real Crime" - the way he talked about/treat that woman suffering from domestic abuse was just sickening. I remember having to watch other episodes to make me like him again Old Mickey had fluffy hair - Mickey's fluffy hair = pretty ;D Fluffy hair is love

I remember having to watch other episodes to make me like him again Oh yes I remember that. After Mickey left the first time I saw that ep on UKGOLD and was quite shocked by it too. It's great character development though. Only time any character has gone from being my least favourite to favourite. I found the bit I was talking about on YT: www.youtube.com/watch?v=s-YMldyI1XM (around 3 minutes in) It is ironic that Mickey of all people says John shouldn't have been on his own after all his later escapades. And yes Fluffy Mickey=LOVE.

Must have been his prettiness that saved him Didn't he run his mouth off about Jack during the Beech scandal as well? I'm glad he knows when to shut up most of the time now!

Yes and he was also worried that he would be implicated in the Beech scandal because he had borrowed a tenner off Don and left it on his desk lol. What a (loveable) plonker.

I've seen that one, Don's name was on the envelope though so I can sort of understand Mickey's fear...Danny didn't help though telling Mickey it was nice knowing him. What makes me laugh is imagining Mickey trying to get back into CID to rescue his "incriminating" envelope.

YAY! Another Mickey fan! I havn't seen the Don Beach storyline, but I have heard a bit about it. I can imagine young Mickey getting all worried about the money lol, bless him! like a school boy. Mickey's character has changed so much over the decade, it just shows what a great actor Chris is! (and how many styles of hair he can model) His character's development is one of theee best ever really done. Most other characters who change just become completly different people and loose the reality of the situation. Mickey still is Mickey, but a mature version.
BTW fluffy hair was accompanied by denim jacket!
