They can be accessed in the reply section but NOT quick reply (not sure why they just wouldn't work there) The following screencaps explain how to access and use the new smilies:

I removed the code as the home icons disappeared but they seem to be back now so hopefully new smilies can stay!

Well at least I know they work! I should credit Sierra-Oscar for the smilies though, I sort of took them from there so yes all credit to them!
