Who could be Gene and Alex? Jo possibly? She knows how to handle the rougher lads, and Annie as Stevie, both good at getting into the minds of people and sweet. Glad I'm not the only one who was thinking of Jo and Stevie too! I agree with Leanne - Jack always pops into my head when I think of Gene, Jack's like a better behaved version of him! What about Ray?

Yes lol! Jack is the modern 21 century Gene, I can imagine him thowing a couple of punches if he was a cid in the 70's.
Ray's a hard one. He's changed quite a bit throughout I think. I actually quite like him now (where as before I hated him) sgt stone maybe? or is he a bit too rough even for Ray?

Yeah we know from some episodes where Jack's mates come back that he wasn't always playing on the right side of the rules so it's not too much of a stretch for me personally to imagine him as being Gene like.
I don't think I like Ray. He's the one investigating them all isn't he? Gosh you can tell I've been watching all of five minutes!

That's errm...... Keats I think...(I'm supposed to be a huuge fan and can't remember names well!) Ray is one of the original lot from life on mars, he used to be harsh on Sam and very sexist and racist but he's changed now.
that's a good point about Jack. When did he start his police career?

Yeah that's Keats - the one with the glasses he's a slimy loser! I agree with the fact that Ray could be Callum..... possibly Max?

Ah I thought he was called Ray Keats ....I'm useless LOL! Ray sounds like Smithy to me. Smithy was sexist and semi-racist when he first joined Sun Hill as a PC then he matured after shooting Bob Cryer and leaving for a few years before returning as Sergeant. that's a good point about Jack. When did he start his police career? Well I'm not sure when Jack started policing but he was a DC in the 70s/80s judging from episodes 389/390 and Old Wounds.

wow, I just can't imagine him being in the force then. It must have been completly different.
I so far have only managed to catch the first 20 mins of ashes to ashes for fri 7th may, but from what I've seen I'm already picturing Mickey in that situation, as a hostage in the prison.
