I've started watching Ashes to Ashes and my housemate has lent me both seasons of Life on Mars so I can stop asking them "What's happening? Who's that? Are they in a different time too? What happened to that fella from Life on Mars?"  I've also decided to give them The Bill counterparts. Gene Hunt is like a politically incorrect Jack Meadows and I've decided Chris is Mickey. They seem to draw the similarities of doing the wrong thing for the right reason and usually getting into trouble over some girl! Of course I'm basing this off seeing a grand total of two episodes of Ashes to Ashes lol! |

YAY! Life on mars is amazing, you will love it!
I love Sam, John Simm is an amazing actor, and the chemistry between his character and Gene is perfect.

Lol, well it does teach modern recent history. I can't believe how different things wer ein the 70's and ofcause, it'll show what the world was like before the grand design of computers so it errr....it's kind of educational.

I always saw Neil as The Bill's version of Sam Tyler in a way. Glad I'm not the only person who thought that! Sam always reminded me of Neil! Chris reminds me of Mickey in both LOM and Ashes to Ashes..... ;D I always end up comparing TB characters to LOM and Ashes to Ashes characters! |

yay someone else has my random sense of characters lol.  they're all good cops in CID. Who could be Gene and Alex? Jo possibly?She knows how to handle the rougher lads, and Annie as Stevie, both good at getting into the minds of people and sweet. |
