How did you start watching The Bill?

I'd seen a few snippets of episodes in 2004 when Gabriel was running about killing people off and Smithy was accused of raping Kerry when my parents watched it but I never really took much interest. And I had no idea who Mickey was!

I started watching properly in July 2009 after Shawn Michaels took a four month vacation from wrestling. I was bored one night talking to Mickey29 on msn and she said she'd gone back to watching The Bill in Shawn's absence. She shared a youtube video of scenes from episodes 154-155 and I was drawn to Chris and his acting. The crying did me in really. Can't resist a pretty/talented man crying

Started chatting about Mickey and stuff and then began watching some episodes on Alibi and Watch before seeing the new relaunch and the obsession stemmed from there really. Though I find my obsession is more Mickey based than The Bill as a whole.

I remember watching it when I was a kid, and then watched a bit in 2003, and then started watching more properly in 2007. Only discovered there was an online fandom and fanfic in 09 though, and that's when I really started watching and taping episodes.

I started before I can remember - Grandad used to watch it while I was with him,just after I was born. Can't remember not watching, really.

As for Mickey, as soon as he started making moves to bring Chandler down, I was in love...

I remeber it being on and seeing snippits when young, with the occasional scene of boyden being shot or kathy going mad. It wasn't untill easter a few years ago when I saw the episode where Mickey is captured by delaney that I became interested. I was eager to watch the next episode but forgot, and was so frustrated! Then I found out that the character I was getting interested in was leaving and left it there. A few years later I found repeats on watch and tried to find the episode I had missed and against found I had just missed it by a few days and was now in the Mickey taking a break period. Exactly the same thing happened again the following year (can you belive my luck?!) but some amazing person had just put it on youtube. I watched it along with any other mickey episode and was hooked.
A year later (last year) I got bored during the summer holidays and watched thepeats on watch and saw some more brilliant stories with Mickey. y hero was back, I was happy and the bill fast became a favorite (as long as it included Mickey)
